Lagoon 42 ma już soją renomę i zdobył popularność wśród załóg szukających w miarę przestronnego katamaranu z dobrymy osiągami żeglarskimi. Lagoon 42 jest podobny do innych Lagoonów – pokazuje nowe podejście do organizacji przestrzeni na pokładzie, jest ergonomiczny, a przy tym elegancki. Kabiny są wystarczającej wielkości, w kabinach skiperskich jest więcej miejsca niż w Lagoonach 40. Dostęp do kabin skiperskich – jak we wszystkich lagoonach tylko z pokładu, z awaryjnych lukiem do kabiny dziobowej. Wejście do łazienek tylko z kabin – to zapewnia intymność mieszkańcom kabin podwójnych ale mieszkańcy kabin skiperskich nie mają dostępu do łazienek z korytarza.

Lagoon 42 – przytulny kokpit z gładkimi, eleganckimi liniami
Lagoon 42 – pokład, kokpit i mesa
Podłoga zachowuje jeden poziom od rufowych platform kąpielowych aż do mesy. Kokpit zapewnia doskonałe wykorzystanie przestrzeni i łatwość przemieszczania się po pokładzie. Duże przeszklone drzwi zajmują całą szerokość daszku i zapewniają dostęp do imponująco przestronnego wnętrza. Zawieszone stopnie na pawęży zapewniają zupełnie nowe spojrzenie na jednostkę – ciągłą, szeroką, przyciągającą wzrok.
W kokpicie są trzy kanapy, w tym długie siedzisko na rufie. Komunikacja odbywa się przed rufową ławką, za nią jest już tylko ponton – co daje więcej miejsca dla załogi w przestrzeni dookoła stołu
Ergonomiczne stanowisko sternika
Umiejscowione jest ono po lewej stronie w wycięciu daszku i zapewnia:
- bezpośrednią komunikację między kokpitem a salonem,
- łatwe wejście na dach dla łatwiejszego dostępu do bomu,
- kompozytowy daszek bimini nad stanowiskiem ma przesuwany panel, zapewniający dobry widok na żagle,
- panel zamykający zapewnia bezpieczeństwo stanowiska w trakcie podróży.

Lagoon 42 – kabiny i łazienki
W czarterze najczęściej spotyka się wersję 4-kabinową z czterema łazienkami i dwiema dodatkowymi kabinami skiperskimi dostępnymi z pokładu (plus wyjście awaryjne przez kabinę przednią, niezbędne ze względów bezpieczeństwa).
Podwójne koje wyspowe w rufowych kabinach i koje z bocznym dostępem przednich kabinach. Kabiny rufowe korzystają z łazienki z oddzielnym prysznicem, bardzo duże okna w kabinach zapewniają doskonałe oświetlenie i wspaniałe widoki. Mesa także jest doskonale doświetlona. kuchnia ma kształt litery U i jest w pełni wyposażona w szerokie powierzchnie robocze i schowki do przechowywania.
Klimatyzacja, generator, odsalarka to wyposażenie dodatkowe, przy rezerwacji trzeba się upewnić, czy wybrany model ma te ponadstandardowe udogodnienia.
